Tips For Booking Your Honeymoon

It is time to start planning your epic journey and you are not sure where to start? Let’s get into the nitty gritty details of planning your honeymoon!

Beach resorts, spa retreats, eco hotels, remote islands, mountain lodges, historic cities, wine routes… there are so many fantastic destinations and honeymoon concepts to choose from. Do you want to explore the wonders of Australia or travel overseas? Do you want an extraordinary adventure or peaceful relaxation? There is a myriad of options out there and it can be a hard decision to make. Then there is also the pressure that is has to be a once-in-a-lifetime journey, so it simply has to be perfect. So don’t stress just take one step at a time!

1. Choosing a type of honeymoon

Before you start looking for destinations, ask yourselves what type of honeymoon you want. Do you want a short break or a long honeymoon? Do you want a tranquil resort where you can unwind and reboot after the wedding or a wild adventure? Set your priorities. St your budget, make a list of assets your ideal destination has to have, and then start browsing through websites and magazines.

2. Do the research

Whether you want the ultimate beach experience, a safari adventure or a healthy honeymoon, find out which destinations are the best for this type of honeymoon and shortlist the ones that satisfy your criteria and fit into your budget. Don’t forget to read reviews and check what other couples said about these destinations. Check the weather and find out when is the best time to visit your favourite destinations. You can then start looking for hotels, resorts and flights to compare prices and package inclusions.

3. Spoil yourselves

You want everything to go smoothly on your honeymoon, so avoid complicated travelling arrangements and exhausting schedules which may take too much of your time. Spoil yourselves with comfortable flights, arrange transfers to and from the hotel and make sure that every aspect of your journey is stress-free. Pay extra for better rooms and suites, check whether you will have all the privacy you need and make sure that the food is superb. If your ideal honeymoon necessarily includes a hot tub or a pool on your private terrace, then look for resorts which offer this convenience!

4. Make a schedule

Don’t go unprepared! Find out all about the best restaurants, beach bars, tourist attractions, natural beauties, historic buildings, museums, spas and other places worth visiting. Study the hotel or resort you will be staying at and check their facilities, menus and activities that are available. Make a schedule for every day so that you don’t end up wondering what to do or where to go. You may not stick to the plan in the end, but it is definitely better to have one!

5. Make your own must-do list

To make your honeymoon a little more special, create a must-do list. Is this destination great for balloon rides? Is there a special place to watch the sunset from? Or perhaps there is a special meal you have to try together, a restaurant that can set up a table on the beach especially for you a really beautiful spa which offers exquisite massages for couples. We suggest that you browse the internet to find the most “romantic things to do” in and around your honeymoon destination.
