Set in the foothills of the Yarra Valley, Ballara Receptions is a gracious Victorian Estate established in 1987. This picturesque wedding venue is surrounded by manicured English gardens and features an authentic wedding chapel, a picturesque lake with a jetty, gazebo and water fountain, weeping willows, a stunning waterfall, lakeside swing and chic LOVE light-up letters. At night, this outdoor space is mesmerizing with thousands of fairy lights and the indoor venue is an elegant chandelier-lit ballroom with a large parquetry dance floor.

With such a picturesque outdoor setting, Ballara Receptions offers fantastic photo opportunities during the day and at night. And because it also offers exquisite cuisine and exceptional service, it is undoubtedly the perfect venue for your Yarra Valley wedding. The ballroom accommodates between 60 and 160 people and it can be exclusively yours for the day!

Each option has its unique charms: from the stunning high-beamed ceiling of the chapel, in keeping with the heritage of this Victorian estate, through to the timeless tranquillity of the lake. The ceremony marks the very moment when the first day of the rest of your lives together begins, and both backdrops provide truly memorable starting points for that journey.

Whichever option you choose, you can rest assured that our team will be on hand to provide support during the planning your ceremony. Your function manager will be there to assist with coordination of your celebrant, photographer and music. And when the ceremony is over, it is time to take full advantage of everything Ballara has to offer for your wedding photos. From magical shots in the fairy light garden, through to unforgettable images set against the waterfall or rose arbours to name just a few, we have everything you need on-site.
