The Corston Couture gown is defined by an undeniable romantic style. Always with a twist, be it edgy or quirky, sometimes with a nod to a bygone era, but always fresh and trend forward. At any one time, there is a collection of around 30 sample wedding gowns for brides-to-be to try on (by appointment).
The 1-hour appointments are indulgent, fun and usually quite educational, brides discovering what suits their body shapes and why. The showroom is private and expansive, with lots of comfortable seating for any family and friends that may be along to share the shopping experience with the bride.
Brides can also choose to Indulge in Corston Couture's Exclusive Custom Design Service. What more indulgent experience could you possibly imagine having your wedding dress exclusively designed and crafted especially for you?
The head designer, Coral Johnston, with her 25 years of experience, is both an expert stylist as well as a brilliantly creative designer. One of the truly unique advantages of working with Corston Couture is that Coral insists on seeing all clients herself – still to this day. So your appointment, whether it be a first visit or a fitting will always be with the head designer.
All wedding dresses are carefully constructed under her supervision, on-site, and by an extremely experienced and talented team of sewers, hand finishers and patternmakers. Wedding gowns begin at $3,000 with an average sale being around $4,900. Gowns usually require 6 to 9 months to create, although shorter time frames can sometimes be accommodated, depending on the time of year, design and fabrics used.
There are standardly 5 fittings for each wedding gown, with the gown booked to pick up 3 weeks before the wedding. (The quoted price of the gown, however, does include as many fittings required to achieve a perfect fit.) Interstate/overseas clients fittings - these can be negotiated and arranged with the designer. Sometimes just 2 visits are all that is required if booked ahead.
