The contemporary bride will delight in celebrating this passion with our fresh, modern styling. As the sun turns up the heat on your wedding day, you can play it cool with a clever combination of black, white and green.
Clean, uncluttered lines are essential for this crisply chic style to work to its fullest potential. Think light, airy, less is more, and you’ll be right on track. So where to start? With the whitest of white tablecloths. Next we added white tableware and timelessly elegant cutlery. Black table napkins made a striking statement in our black and white colour play. But in a clever twist, we turned our napkins into place names with the addition of printed name bands.
Stylish yet practical, this helped ensure that our table settings looked fresh and uncluttered. We then added round table number cards with holders and black and white liquorice chairs. Then came a sparkling finishing touch: elegant crystal glasses. Just stunning. The bold black candleholders, coupled with black candles, from The Brown Shutter, looked sensational, and our black and white paper puffs added a touch of polka dotted true-to-theme fun.
Now to include that third colour from our style pallete: green. We achieved this by scattering green chrysanthemums and green stemmed gerberas in glittering glass vases along the length of our table. And to enhance that spacious, airy, light feeling, we placed mirror panels under the vases. Simple, but sensational.
Yet more mirrors came into play with our mini bevelled mirror bomboniere boxes. But why stop there? We decided to place our eye-catching cake on a round white table adorned with a mirror top.
The cake itself was a perfect celebration of summer love: an elegant combination of smooth and textured iced tiers, and embossed with the word ‘Love’. Its clean, uncluttered lines suited our theme perfectly, while an understated black and white polka dot ribbon offered a clever tie in with our polka dot style paper puffs.
Your wedding stationery should offer the firest indication of a wedding day theme. All our stationery – our save the date cards, invitations, reply cards and information cards, and, of course, our menus – was styled using an assortment of fonts, as well as our theme colours of black, white and green.
