Kyron & Caylen both lived in a small town where everyone knew everyone, but somehow they didn’t cross paths until they ended up in a share house together. They immediately hit things off and spent the next five years travelling, building a house together and learning to love each other’s bad habits.
For the proposal Kyron arranged a romantic weekend getaway to beautiful Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. In typical Kyron style, he left asking Caylen’s Dad for permission to marry his daughter until the morning they were leaving. Cay and Ky both share a love of good food and great wine, so they booked a night out at the Noosa Beach House. As per normal, they were running late, and while Cay was hurrying out the door Kyron said: “hey babe, before we go I’ve got something for ya.” Cay turned around and Kyron was down on one knee proposing.
The Bridal Party included close friends and family members. Before the ceremony, Kyron and his groomsmen were busy setting up the wedding, while Caylen got ready and relaxed with her dad and her bridal party. The bridesmaids wore Shona Joy dresses in a gorgeous oyster colour, while the groomsmen opted for dark blue suits with grey bow ties.
The Bride's attire included a column lace wedding gown by Erin Clare, striking acrylic heels, bangle and earrings by Mimco and a bracelet by Tiffany & Co. which Kyron bought for his bride in New York.
The theme was modern classic and the design incorporated both traditional and contemporary elements. The base of their colour palette was fresh whites and soft greys, while the accents were in bright berry tones.
The Style Inspiration came from the venue itself. Caylen and Kyron wanted to bring a sophisticated modern setting to the raw beauty of Bethany Cottages in Kingaroy where they held both their ceremony and reception. The result was a simple, fresh and clean styling which emphasised the breathtaking natural surroundings.

Erin Clare was by far the most beautiful person to work with. After my first dressmaker pulled the pin, Erin stepped-in and, boy did she get things so right! She understood my vision and my wedding dress was so perfect. She sourced lace and fabrics for me to choose and handmade all the details!
They were married on the hill at Bethany Cottages where Caylen had always wanted to get married. Despite the pouring rain and flooding only two days before the wedding it was a beautiful sunny day just as she had pictured it to be. The garden was drenched in golden light in the afternoon, and they had an intimate ceremony with spectacular views of the farmlands, the town of Kingaroy and the Bunya Mountains. Their celebrant designed a laid-back ceremony to suit their relaxed personalities. The only decoration was a gorgeous white ceremony arch that featured beautiful floral accents on each side. Caylen and Kyron surprised a few of their friends during the ceremony by asking them to do a reading. They also surprised their mums by asking them to be the witnesses.
The grazing station created by Taste South Burnett was enjoyed by everyone after the ceremony. It was filled with delicious local produce and looked spectacular! Guests enjoyed lawn games and watched the sunset while Caylen and Kyron went off for a romantic photo session with their photographer Olivia from Shutter and Lace. “What can I say; our photos are just magical!” said Caylen and we couldn’t agree more!
The reception was in a wonderfully styled clear roof marquee with long tables and two amazing hanging floral installations and festoon lights. The centrepieces were simple floral arrangements that complemented the natural surroundings and the colour palette of fresh white and grey with touches of berry tones. The evening was fun and full of surprises including a song about Kyron written by one of Caylen and Kyron’s good friends that received lots of laughs.

We feel so blessed that our friends and family were able to attend our wedding. Especially my Nan who unfortunately passed away a few weeks after the wedding. She was holding onto this moment for so long she would have been so thankful that she got to see us get married.
