Real Wedding: Suzanne & Glen's Fairytale Wedding

From a horse-drawn carriage and heart-shaped confetti to a castle-shaped wedding cake and a princess-style white gown, every aspect of Suzanne and Glen’s fairytale wedding at the Curzon Hall was inspired by Disney’s Cinderella.

Suzanne and Glen met each other in a car workshop. They were both obsessed with cars and had a ‘love at first sight’ moment when he accidentally broke her brand new car. Their first conversation occurred when he called her to tell her what he has done. It didn’t take them long to realise they want to spend the rest of their lives together! Glen popped the question in a restaurant, and cheered Suzanne who had the worst day at work ever. “We were both so happy some tears were shed. He asked again and I replied saying ‘no way that I would ever say no! Yes!’”, said Suzanne. Their love story is romantic and unique just like every modern fairytale, and therefore their big day simply had to be a fairytale wedding!

While Suzanne was getting ready to leave for the ceremony at Curzon Hall, she received a surprise message from Glen delivered to her through her bridesmaids. “I've always had a hole in my heart that needed filling, I never thought it would get filled until the day I met you. I can’t believe I’ve found someone as perfect as you and I am so glad that I did and I get to spend the rest of my life with you. P.S. Now I’m in a whole new world with you (Aladdin)”, he wrote.

From the moment she stepped in a Cinderella carriage, everything felt like a dream for Suzanne! Her happiest moment was walking back down the aisle with her beautiful husband who held her hand tight. She was deeply in love. “We truly did have an amazing day that ended in our Happily Ever After”, she said.

Curzon Hall, the iconic sandstone castle in Sydney’s Marsfield was the perfect setting for their Disney-inspired fairytale wedding. They opted for a pink colour palette for the ceremony, while the reception area was all in white and blue, adorned with stunning decorations such as snowy white tree branches which gave romantic touch to the venue. There was even a Collectors Cinderella glass slipper on a pillow at the ceremony signing table! Suzanne looked like a princess in a strapless white dress with a puffy ball gown skirt by Henry Roth, while Glen opted for a modern yd. outfit paired with sneakers. Their fairytale wedding was a stylish combination of classical and contemporary style full of fun contrasts and beautiful details.
