Inspired by the spectacular scenery of Langkawi, the couple combined crisp white, soft grey and green to accentuate the natural backdrop.
The couple opted for a destination wedding because they wanted a holiday with their closest friend and family rather than a classical wedding celebration. Both ceremony and reception were held at the Westin Resort and Spa in beautiful Langkawi, Malaysia.
Details that made their wedding different from all the others include hand-crafted stationery made by the bride and groom, as well as a stunning beach bar with tropical-style cocktails and delicious canapés. They also had a unique wedding cake made from chocolate and fresh raspberries, as well as a mouth-watering dessert buffet which included chocolate and pistachio served in martini glasses, passionfruit panna cotta and white chocolate and raspberry trifle.
Lighting was an essential part of their evening reception. They had flameless tea lights presented in heart-shaped candle holders scattered everywhere which added romance to their magnificent outdoor venue. Centrepieces, bouquets and the ceremony arch were made from a variety of white blooms and green foliage.
Following their amazing destination wedding in Langkawi, Alicia and Jase spent three weeks in Japan and Thailand. The highlights of their honeymoon included snowboarding at Hilton Niseko Village, crossing the famous Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo and snorkelling on a private longtail boat in Phuket.
