Happy Wedding day! That’s what I want for you and your loved ones. It’s such a special day and I am honoured to be a part of it. I am a hopeless romantic and genuinely get swept up in the day. Photography with heart is more than a motto, it is my philosophy when it comes to my work. Wedding photography for me is all about capturing the relationships and connections between you, your partner and your nearest and dearest. Your wedding photos are your story of your special and unique day.

My job, of course, is to capture it all but more than that, to be a positive and calming presence, to be non-intrusive and to make sure you get all the photos you could have ever hoped for. Many of which you wouldn’t even know at this stage that you want. Let me help. There is so much to be on the same page about when it comes to wedding photography. My approach, is to be organised, plan shots and the agenda so when it comes to the day, you can just relax and let it all happen organically. Allow me to be there to gently guide you through the photos. Most of which, you will not even know are happening. That’s when the real magic happens!

Not everyone loves to do a big group photo. It’s a bit of an old classic, but on Rebecca and Damon’s special day, they did want one, and this shot was taken, with humour and joy as it shows. Pretty amazing because it was actually 42 degrees! It’s important to ensure these things happen quickly which does take a level of event management. I do consider myself to be a guide of the agenda and to make sure everyone is at ease, not waiting too long and feeling happy whilst relaxed. This shot would have taken me about a minute to achieve. That time would have included rounding up the group before actually photographing. Any longer and people get over it and the positive emotion is lost. With many of the important must have wedding photos, the trick is, keeping it fluid. Capturing the twinkling as it unfolds and only if some direction is required, keeping it light and fun, short, sweet and definitely not contrived.
Experience does count for a lot. With over 300 weddings under my belt, I have been photographing weddings and couples in Canberra and the surrounding regions, nationwide and across the globe for over 15 years. I love and am passionate about the art of photography and I am an AIPP accredited multiple award-winning Master Photographer, APPM.
