Passion, imagination and just knowing what looks good are the essential ingredients Michelle brings to every wedding. Add to this a flair for working with people and years of experience photographing weddings.
- Michelle Cohen
I remember my first wedding – the people, the excitement, the locations and the light, 250 plus weddings later and I still enjoy the challenge of creating great pictures and capturing what is unique about the couple and their wedding day.
Michelle’s style is usually a mixture of photojournalistic, romantic and traditional with the confident use of natural light. She is always on the lookout for that special light that turns the ordinary into magic!
Michelle Cohen Photography is a boutique photographic business specialising in weddings. Clients and prospective clients can meet at the purpose built rammed earth studio near Mt Barker. Michelle will listen carefully to your wedding plans and ideas, and gain a good understanding of what is important to you – what is unique about you as a couple – and how to reflect that in your wedding photography.
Michelle is familiar with many great locations (including some “secret” ones) and also knows how they work at different times of the day and year. This is important because it helps the day run smoothly and she can direct you and your bridal party with clarity to create great images at your chosen locations.
On the day, Michelle’s approach is friendly, relaxed and confident to bring out the best in you. She has a “can do” attitude and has been known to scale a fence, lie in wet grass or bowl a cricket ball to get that great shot. She will encourage you to enjoy yourself and let her worry about the details.
Post Wedding Production is a careful, thoughtful and skilled process to ensure the colours are as you remember, skin tones are flattering and the special effects you desired are applied. Your fully edited images will be printed in various sizes. You can then proceed to either create your own album (with tips and contacts 'supplied' or Michelle will design a leather bound wedding album for you using your favourite images. This album is archival being up to 75 years fade resistant using the superior process of traditional photographic paper (not just ink on paper). Her clients also love the fact their images are presented on a DVD at no extra cost, with no watermarks – leaving them free to print favourite images for family and friends or for wall art and frames.
