Your cake, flowers and decorations should arrive on the day of the wedding, but you need to check with your venue what is the recommended time for delivery and then contact your vendors. If you have a wedding planner, they can do this for you.
Experienced wedding planners suggest that you should finalise your payments before the wedding so that you don’t have to worry about it on the day. You should also prepare tips for service providers, and the best way to do it is to encase them in envelopes.
Your wedding gown needs to look flawless on your big day, and to ensure the perfect fit, leave the final fitting for the last week prior to your wedding. Make sure that every seam is in the right place and also prepare all the bridal accessories you are planning to wear.
Talk to your photographer! Your wedding album will be the most important memento from your big day, and you will want to have every significant moment captured. We recommend that you create a wedding photography checklist which includes every single shot from the moment you start getting ready to bride and groom leaving the reception.
From a mini sewing kit to make-up and wet wipes, every bride should have a little wedding emergency kit prepared just in case the lipstick get smudged, the wine gets spilled or the dress gets thorn. Make a list of the things you might need on the day and buy then at least one week before the wedding.
And don’t forget to pack your bags for the honeymoon well before the wedding! You don’t want to be stressed about it on your big day or the day after. Prepare all the honeymoon travel essentials in advance and have the bags and passports ready when the time comes for you to leave.
Wedding planning can be stressful, so make sure to leave some time for relaxing and pre-wedding pampering. Go to the spa with your bridesmaids, organise a romantic dinner with your groom, take your time at the beauty salon and enjoy manicures, pedicures and facials. You should also leave enough time to sleep because nothing will rejuvenate you so well like a good 8-hour sleep!
