First Night Accommodation

When the reception is over it is time for the bride and groom to spend some romantic time together. Even though you might be exhausted after an eventful day, it is important to celebrate your first night as a married couple.

It is the groom’s responsibility to find the first night accommodation, however consulting the bride first is a good idea as he should find out what her expectations are.

If you organise a low key breakfast or lunch reception, you might even be able to reach your honeymoon destination before the day is over. Many couples agree that the best place to spend their first night is somewhere exotic where they can enjoy each other’s company.

Many luxury hotels around the world offer special accommodation for newlyweds with suites that are separated from the public areas or even over-water bungalows. If you decide to spend your honeymoon in the peaceful countryside, you can hire a villa or a small cottage where you will be able to enjoy privacy. This is a fantastic option for couples who have busy lives and want to escape from the hustle and bustle to spend some quality time together in perfect solitude.

For the bride and groom who are planning a dinner reception, it is best to spend the night in a nice hotel room and rest before you head off for your honeymoon destination. When choosing a hotel, it is important to check special offers for newlyweds and see what conveniences are offered. Since it is a very special night, the hotel suite should be just as special too. After a hectic day it is nice to have a relaxing bubble bath and perhaps a massage, a bottle of champagne, candle light, soft music and even a king size bed covered with rose petals.

Some wedding venues offer first night accommodation which is very convenient for the newlyweds, as they don’t have to drive anywhere. Before booking a venue you can ask if they have a bridal suite, or alternatively, you can try and find accommodation nearby. As you will most likely be tired, it is a good idea to find a place that offers the convenience of a late check-out. You will need to spend some romantic time together, but also have your beauty sleep. The morning after the wedding can be magical too with a delicious breakfast in bed or on your balcony. You can also go for a swim together or have a pampering session at the day spa.

If you are flying to your honeymoon destination early in the morning, you can also choose a hotel which is close to the airport, but make sure that you find a nice one, as you are not just looking for a bed to crash after a party. When choosing the perfect accommodation for your first night as a married couple it is important to look for a romantic ambience that instantly puts you in the mood for love.
