Colour, shape, embellishments… there are so many elements you can put into play! You want a manicure that matches your gown, your complexion and, most importantly, the flowers in your bouquet. You can opt for a classic French manicure or a simple nude shade, but if you want something a little more interesting, then have a look at these 7 new trends…
Whether you prefer pink, blue, nude or any colour, you can easily add a touch of glamour to your nails with touches of gold. Think mini embellishments, stripes of gold against a nude or blush backdrop or even “cuticle embellishments” which we have seen at the latest Rodarte ready-to-wear show.
The French manicure is one of the most popular wedding nail styles, but if you want to make it a little more fun and modern, add colours or change the shapes. Nail art at the Creatures of Comfort show included a palette of pastel colours while the nail artist who worked for Marissa Web opted for diagonal white tips on a nude backdrop.
Floral designs are appropriate for a wedding, but the trendy update is applying miniature pressed flowers onto the nails and then covering them with a top coat. We have spotted this look at the Preen show, but after the show many brides have started creating flowers with different coloured nail polishes.
Ciate London will soon release their Liquid Chrome Polish in response to a nail art trend which has been here for quite a while now. Shiny nails which look like they are covered with pure liquid metal are perfect if you have any of the metallic hues in your colour palette and it will definitely complement your rings!
And if you want a wedding manicure style that is unconventional and alternative, you will love this trend! Pick more than two shades from your wedding palette and combine them together to create the colour blocking effect. Geometrical designs are very popular right now!
There is nothing more seductive than a classic red nail polish paired with a bold red lipstick! It is classic and we think it is a great choice for your wedding as well as any other special occasion.
And then there is blue! It is one of the most popular wedding colours as it carries an important symbolism and matches so many other colours. It can be any shade from classic Tiffany blue with accents of silver to deep and mysterious midnight blue which was a preferred choice for the Marchesa ready-to-wear and Reem Acra bridal shows.
