Bridal Lingerie & Special Extras

Here’s your chance to spoil yourself with luscious lace, silky stockings, your favourite fragrance and all those other wonderful extras that make you feel so utterly feminine.

Of course you’ll want lots of lovely underwear for your honeymoon and a visit to a specialist lingerie boutique will give you a glimpse of what’s available.

However, while lacy luxury is a must for your honeymoon, it can be noticeable if worn under filmy wedding gown fabrics. Plain, silky fabric is a better under gown choice, and if your dress is white, go for light apricot or flesh coloured lingerie as it’s less noticeable.

Your underwear can dramatically alter your silhouette. If the bodice of your wedding gown is fitted, you’ll need a simple bra with ‘invisible’ lines. If your dress is strapless, find a bra that’s both comfortable and slip proof. You can accentuate your cleavage with a padded or push-up bra, but be sure to choose one that supports you without cutting into your sides. Panties should be creep-proof and smooth the line of your stomach, back and hips.

If your dress is super slinky, pantyhose with built-in underwear is a clever pick. Decided on silky stockings? Then you’ll need a gorgeous garter belt that fits snugly and can’t be seen through your gown. Before your wedding, try on your gown with your underwear. Ask an honest friend for a critical appraisal to make sure you’re not showing more than you intended.

And, are you thinking of a new fragrance to add to the magic of the moment? Visit the perfume counters at least one month before the wedding. If you’re going to have an allergic reaction to anything, better you know now!

When you think you’ve found ‘the one’, spray on a sample and get your significant other’s reaction. He hasn’t sneezed? He likes it? Mission accomplished.
