The wedding day approaches and tension is rising. All the girls are excited and waiting for the hen’s night, so why not make it an adventurous one and organise a weekend-long celebration away from the hustle and bustle of your city. If you are not having a destination wedding, then a destination hen’s party is an excellent idea! Everyone will love to go on a road trip instead of spending an evening partying at the club. It is a great way to get rid of that pre-wedding stress and an opportunity for all the girls to be together before the big day.
Choosing a fabulous destination is the first step in planning a successful road trip. Whether you prefer a beautiful sun-drenched coast, an idyllic tropical island or a cosy mountain escape, renting a luxury house you can call your own for the weekend is the perfect plan. You will be spending a lot of quality time together chatting over breakfast and enjoying daytime activities, while in the evening you have the perfect venue for an intimate party if you are not up to going out for dinner and drinks. Alternatively, you can book into a resort that boasts a swimming pool and a lavish spa if you are more into a weekend of pampering.
If you picked a nearby destination, then organise fun transport for the girls. Rent a Kombi van that can fit you all, play some great music and make the journey a memorable one. Study the routes and select some beautiful locations where you can make short breaks to admire the views, take a few fabulous snaps and maybe even have a picnic on the grass or the beach.
A winery tour is also a great idea if you want a fantastic hen’s road trip. Pick a scenic route and enjoy majestic landscapes along with delicious food and wine. From the Hunter Valley and Mudgee in NSW to Margaret River in WA and the Barossa Valley in SA, Australia has a lot of wine regions worth exploring, so choose your favourite location and start planning your road trip.
Or perhaps you'd prefer something a little more adventurous like island hopping? Book a sailing trip and discover the majestic Whitsunday Islands in Queensland. There are a lot of hidden gems around the Great Barrier Reef such as Wilson Island which can accommodate 12 guests and is reachable only by helicopter, so it is the perfect base for exploring the archipelago. Or if you want to go a little bit further, then think exotic destinations such as the South Pacific.
