Wedding Hair & Makeup Looks For Spring/Summer 2016

From spring blooms pinned into the hair to stark white eyeliner, wedding hair and make-up trends for spring/summer 2016 are innovative, but also perfectly wearable. See our favourite styles and get inspired for your big day…

Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham’s brides looked very natural and fresh-faced with pink lips and flushed cheeks. The hair was worn loose, gently curled in the middle and accessorised with bejewelled hair bands to complement the lavish summer wedding dresses inspired by Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This wedding hair look could be the ideal choice for an informal wedding on the beach or in the countryside.

Wedding make-up for the Marchesa show was very simple with natural lips and pink cheeks, while white eyeliner gave it an unexpected twist. We love this innovative idea for traditional brides and we think it is a great alternative to the classical black liner. We loved the idea for the wedding hair styling as well, as it looked neat, glamorous and very beautiful with bended ponytails and gleaming crystal-studded hair bands.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta wedding gowns were truly romantic and flamboyant, while the sophisticated wedding hair and make-up made them look even more impressive. Models wore oversized pink blooms on the crown, which is a novel concept, and we love it because it looks glamorous and leaves plenty of space for a veil. Neat French rolls were also styled with ivory bows, while the wedding make-up was girly and natural with nude lips and a coat of black mascara to accentuate the eye.

Angel Sanches

Carolina Herrera opted for lush purple flowers in the hair to match her fabulous wedding dresses covered in blooms. Pink shades used for the wedding make-up complemented this hairstyle perfectly! Angel Sanchez also opted for flowers in the hair, and pinned in the white blooms into slightly undone chignons. The wedding make-up looks by the Bobbi Brown team included a shimmery eye shadow and gleaming lip-gloss in a hot pink shade.

Reem Acra

Reem Acra introduced a new cool way to wear braided hair on your wedding day and we loved it! Models had long braids beautifully adorned with pearls and shiny embellishments, which gave the collection a bohemian feel. The wedding make-up look included a creamy lipstick in berry colour and black eyeliner.

Naeem Khan

And if you want to wear a unique tiara on your wedding day, the one we saw at the Naeem Khan show might serve as inspiration. The hair was accessorised with a unique silver crown that features starfish, seashells and corals in silver – perfect for a decadent beach wedding next summer!
