The line-up of dresses at Zuhair Murad's Fall/Winter haute couture show in Paris was truly fascinating. Luxury fabrics were showered with intricate florals, feathers and crystals, depicting the glamour of the 19th century. While Zuhair Murad looked back to the golden 1980’s for inspiration his previous couture collection, this time he was influenced by the legendary Gibson Girl created by American artist, Charles Diana Gibson. Murad was fascinated by Gibson’s illustrations that not only portrayed the wonderful fashion of the era, but also the emerging modern femininity.
