Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture

Inspired by glamorous travellers and bygone eras, Giambattista Valli created a beautiful haute couture collection for spring/summer 2017. The show at the Musée des Archives Nationales opened with gorgeous mini duchesse satin dresses and trouser suits, but it quickly progressed into a stunning line-up of utterly modern dresses and ball gowns. There was colourful tulle and elaborate floral embroidery work, eighties-style mini frocks with oversized trains and a range of dramatic, voluminous dresses with ruffled skirts in white, pink and yellow.
