Carolina Herrera Bridal Spring 2018

Breezy summer fabrics, oversized bows, trendy black details and the inevitable romantic florals were the key elements of Carolina Herrera’s beautiful spring bridal collection inspired by country weddings.

Undoubtedly one of Carolina Herrera’s most beautiful bridal collections, the spring 2018 bridal collection exudes the romanticism of a country wedding but boasts so many different looks including enchanting ball gowns, feminine trouser suits and everything in between. The designer herself describes it as “romantic”, “feminine”, “ethereal” and “dreamy”.

White hydrangeas appeared on the catwalk in beautiful large urns and then again on a select few of the wedding dresses. This delicate flower that blossoms in spring is a reminiscence of romantic country weddings in lavish natural surroundings and it is precisely this dreamy image that inspired Carolina Herrera to make such a sophisticated collection. If you are wondering what kind of wedding dress is perfect for a grand country celebration, then this collection will give you plenty of options. It can be a dramatic ball gown, a sleek silk dress with an oversized bow, a simple tea-length frock or a lace top paired with flared trousers.

Details we loved include the elaborate pleats and draping, three-dimensional floral appliques, billowy sleeves and black sashes, white trousers and column lace dresses. While some of the wedding gowns were very elaborate with large skirts and opulent embellishments, other looks were relaxed and effortless. The spring 2018 collection included some two-piece ensembles as well which are perfect for an outdoor country celebration. Our favourite two-piece is the tulle skirt paired with a sequinned jumper which reminds us of Olivia Palermo’s beautiful bridal attire.
