Ralph & Russo's spring/summer 2017 couture collection is comprised of 55 stunning looks. Many of the intricately embellished dresses featured both futuristic geometric motifs and romantic florals and ruffles.
Designers, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo were inspired by the fascinating intersection between natural forms, botany and modern architectural shapes, and these striking contrasts are the epitome of 21st century couture fashion. The looks consisted of evening dresses, ranging from elegant short styles to the over-the-top ballgowns.
Many of these spectacular red carpet-worthy looks would make gorgeous wedding gowns. There were a lot of white dresses, including the white tulle and pale grey organza layered ballgown adorned with crystals, glass beadwork and metallic flower appliques, topped with a flamboyant feathered cape. And while some of the designs feature hand-stitched or embroidered florals, others are all about geometric structures. Each and every one of the looks exudes femininity and features a lot of dazzling embellishments.
In addition to the bridal whites, there were also gorgeous shades of ink blue, radiant red, powdery pink, pastel blue and deep green.
Ralph & Russo is a label much loved by Hollywood celebrities, and we can’t wait to see which dresses from this collection will appear at the Oscars 2017 red carpet! Some of the most striking pieces include the lavender tulle ballgown embellished with 3D pleated silk organza and tulle blooms, red silk and organza ball gown with an embellished bodice in a baroque design, a pale blue tulle gown embroidered with metallic gold thread in floral design, a pale grey silk organza gown hand-painted in metallic floral design with scalloped halter neckline and large 3D flower detailing and the high-and-low black tulle ballgown hand appliqued with silk organza frills!
