Luxury satins, laces, tulles and organzas were used for Madeline Gardener’s spring 2017 collection for Morilee. These fabrics were perfectly matched with feminine silhouettes creating beautiful dresses fit for real princesses. Silhouettes varied from dramatic ballgowns and A-lines to contemporary mermaid and trumpet styles, but the shapes were innovative with structured bodices and layered skirts.
Each look from this collection is utterly glamorous. The column and fit-and-flare dresses feature dreamy lace overlays, organza frills and the most intricate beadwork. Sophisticated details include crystal trims, scalloped hems, floral motifs and lace appliques which complemented the luxurious fabrics. Botany-inspired floral motifs are one of the biggest wedding dress trends for autumn and winter 2017, and we love the fresh interpretation of this Madeline Gardener created for Morilee.
With so many breath-taking wedding gowns to choose from, it is hard to pick our favourite ones. Our eye was drawn to the Grace Kelly-esque gown with a voluminous satin skirt and a bejewelled lace bodice, but we also love the sweetheart tulle dresses adorned with lace appliques, and the opulent organza gowns with tiered skirts and crystal beaded embroidered bodices. A silk chiffon strap dress with a fluttery skirt and a fitted bodice beaded with crystals is perfect for hot summer nights, while the long-sleeved gown with lace appliques makes a great choice for the cooler months.
