Delicate Sparkle: Marchesa Fall 2016 Bridal Collection

One of the most romantic Marchesa bridal collections, the 2016 Fall collection features ethereal ball gown skirts, divine embellishments and opulent laces.

One of the most striking, innovative pieces from Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman’s beautiful collection for fall 2016 is this strapless lace gown with dramatic peplum and detachable skirt. Multi-way gowns and two-piece dresses are a huge trend at the moment, and this Marchesa collection gives the finest interpretation of it. The brand is best known for its romantic, feminine wedding gowns which are always so timelessly beautiful and modern at the same time.

Craig and Chapman are a duo extremely enthusiastic about their bridal collections, even though they are known best for their show-stopping red carpet looks worn by A-list celebrities. They said that “bridal really embodies everything that we at Marchesa believe” and this passion and love for wedding gowns is visible in each of their wonderful and atmospheric collections.

The fall 2015 collection heavily embellished strapless bodices were combined with voluminous tulle ball gown skirts, and sometimes delicate floral appliqués interrupt this beautiful contrast. Silhouettes also include A-line and slimmer, fit-and-flare shapes, and there is even a cute, girly cocktail frock. A short wedding dress is definitely on-trend right now, and Marchesa created a ballerina-style number with a short, fluttery skirt and illusion neckline accessorised with statement open-toe booties and a small veil adorned with big white satin blooms.

The dresses were adorned with shimmery crystals, metallic embroideries, pearl beads and 3D organza blooms which looked dazzling under the sunlight coming through huge windows in a in a New York loft studio overlooking the Hudson River. Just imagine the sparkle of these dresses during your sunset ceremony on a sandy beach! The collection definitely boasts gorgeous styles for a destination wedding, but there were also more elaborate, traditional gowns with or without sleeves. One of our favourites is a dazzling ball gown with a huge ruffled skirt and a sweetheart-shaped bodice beautifully adorned with jewels.

Stylish accessories such as bridal tiaras, elaborate hair pieces and modern jewellery added a sophisticated touch to the collection. Sparkly gowns gleamed even more with crystal-adorned headdresses and statement earrings.
