Wedding-Worthy Gowns From The 2015 Oscars

White was definitely a popular colour at the 2015 Oscar's and we have never seen so many wedding-worthy gowns on the red carpet! Four out of five nominees for the Best Actress award wore white, but we have also seen a lot of gorgeous gowns in pale hues such as silver, champagne, ivory and pink.

Julianne Moore was honoured with the Best Actress award for her role in Still Alice and wore a custom-made Chanel Couture gown dripping with shiny white sequins. This unique dress, which was made especially for her, was one of the most beautiful looks of the Oscars 2015 and we think the Chopard diamonds and Marsala lipstick were the perfect accessories for it.

Lupita Nyong’o wore a beaded ivory gown from the Calvin Klein Collection and styled it with elegant pendant earrings, metallic eye shadow and red lipstick. We loved the keyhole detail at the front of the dress and gorgeous pearl embellishments.

Marion Cotillard opted for a white Dior Couture gown from the spring/summer 2014 collection. This elegant dress features a long train and has intricate texture, inspired by movement and architectural forms. Marion accessorised it with Chopard earrings and a tiny black clutch to match the black detail at the back of the dress.

British actress Felicity Jones promoted London fashion at the Oscars with a bespoke silver ball gown from Alexander McQueen. It had a sleeveless, pearl-embellished bodice with a high neck and a big pleated satin skirt. Felicity wore it with a shiny silver box clutch and pendant earrings.

Anna Faris looked like a princess-bride in an exquisite embellished white gown by Zuhair Murad, while Jenna Dewan Tatum opted for a sexier outfit from the same designer and with a plunging neckline, big slit and silver detailing.

Jennifer Lopez also opted for a revealing V-neck, but on a dreamy Elie Saab’s beaded dress in nude, which she styled with a girly ponytail and pink lipstick. Saab’s dresses are perfect for walking down the aisle and we think this chic A-line number would make an exceptional wedding dress.

Strapless, lightly-coloured column dresses were popular too and we particularly loved the blush pink Marchesa gown worn by Karolina KurkovaReese Witherspoon, nominated for Wild, picked an off-the-shoulder icy blue Tom Ford gown with black velvet straps across the bust and waist.

Kerry Washington posed in an ivory peplum Miu Miu gown which she paired with Christian Louboutin heels, a Miu Miu clutch and Fred Leighton jewels.

Zoe Saldana took the Oscars by storm, flaunting her post baby body in a blush-colored Versace gown with simple jewels while Gwyneth Paltrow looked elegant in a one-shouldered blush pink gown with an oversized rose detail on the shoulder.
