Best Bridal Looks From The Resort 2015 Collections

Resort collections are a great source of inspiration for fashion-forward brides and they often include a few amazing outfits which are just perfect for that walk down the aisle.

From romantic white gowns to cutting-edge designs, styles are simpler and more affordable than ready-to-wear and it is a great opportunity to get hold of a fabulous designer piece for your special day.

Inspired by famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli created yet another beautiful collection for Valentino. Their resort 2015 range features delicate, feminine silhouettes, luxury fabrics, vibrant colours and the brand’s signature embroidery. The dresses are romantic and ethereal with exotic motifs of flora and fauna taken from Kahlo’s paintings and our favourite piece is definitely the fluttery transparent white dress with colourful embroidery which is just perfect for a fairytale wedding.

Giovanna Randall drew inspiration from the Old West and desert flowers for her Honor resort 2015 collection. She used delicate laces and satin organza adorned with floral appliqués and ribbons for her glamorous gowns and the colour palette includes crisp whites and sky blues which are ideal for wedding dresses. Silhouettes are very feminine ranging from classical column to the A-line shape, and one of our favourite styles is the simple, white, off-the-shoulder gown with subtle embellishments around the neck and on the sleeves.

Famous for his flamboyant couture ball gowns and wedding dresses, Elie Saab never fails to impress. His resort 2015 collection includes quite a few gorgeous bridal outfits in white and soft pink, each featuring his signature draping and glistening embellishments. From elegant sheath dresses with plunging necklines and intricate beadwork, to sexy column gowns with big slits at the front, all of the designs are very modern and glamorous – ideal for a contemporary bride.

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig stayed true to the Marchesa brand and created another gorgeous collection that features breathtaking evening gowns, which could easily be translated into romantic wedding dresses. We loved their strapless gown in blush pink with lace overlay, as well as their cream and silver long-sleeved lace dress made from transparent layers.

Jenny Packham is well known for her chic royal style dresses with sparkly embellishments and a strong vintage flavour that gives them their timeless appearance. This time Ang Lee’s thriller Lust, Caution from 2007, set in the late thirties, inspired her and we have seen many delicate white gowns with stunning beadwork and draping. Her resort 2015 collection also features a charming white cocktail dress - perfect for spring weddings.

Each collection from Oscar de la Renta features stunning evening frocks, which are just perfect for red carpet events, and his resort 2015 range is no exception. We love his colourful strapless gown with floral prints and dramatic pink bow tied at the back, but also his ethereal tulle dress in champagne colour with illusion neckline and sparkly embellishments.

Inspired by Morocco, Mexico and American Art Deco, Naeem Khan used delicate fabrics and bold prints for his resort 2015 collection. It features some gorgeous floor-length gowns in creamy pink and silver shades which could easily work for vintage themed weddings. Intricate beadwork and hand-sewn lace look amazing on these evening frocks, but he also created some fabulous cocktail dresses in the same style.
