Reem Acra Spring 2015 Bridal Collection

World famous for her gorgeous wedding gowns with exquisite embroidery and beautiful embellishments, Reem Acra is very popular with celebrities around the world.

Her spring 2015 bridal collection named “Mirror, Mirror” is very feminine and glamorous and features body-hugging dresses made from stretch Duchess satin, re-embroidered lace, silk chiffon and soft tulle. The collection has a range of shapes that are very elegant and are cut perfectly to flatter the female body. Whether you are planning a traditional wedding, modern cocktail reception or even a beach party, this collection can be very inspirational since it includes wide range of styles which are a fine mix of classical and trendy.

Reem Acra confessed that she has spent a lot of time studying brides and wanted to offer something for every type of girl. "Diversity of fabrication offers many choices for the bride," she said. "Stretch duchess satin, new for spring, creates an air of seduction and allure, while layers of tulle evoke timelessness and ethereal drama. Silk chiffon adds a vintage edge to the modern dress, while silk gazar gives a nod to the more traditional girl."

Strapless satin dresses with delicate embroidery and beadwork opened the show and looked amazing with natural make-up and relaxed curls. We loved this modern, effortless look because it is just ideal for summer weddings! To spice up this fabulous outfit the designer added one small detail that made the difference: beaded lace cuffs. This stylish accessory made its appearance many times during the show and it was a great match for different styles from classical ball gowns to fit-and-flair contemporary designs.

We have seen different silhouettes including columns, A-line and even structured shapes created from layers of chiffon and tulle, but what made this collection truly special was clever and calculated detailing and unexpected combinations of fabrics such as the crepe column dress with lace illusion neckline. Reem Acra’s signature embroidery and hand beadwork are playing an important part in this collection as they were strategically used for accenting rather than just splashed across the dress. Subtle embellishments are making the whole collection even more elegant and refined.

Our favourite look from the show was a breathtaking strapless gown with re-embroidered lace overlay and a satin ribbon wrapped around the waist. It was accessorised with crystal studded lace cuffs and silver sandals. This look is perfect for a summer wedding and it is both sexy and elegant with a subtle vintage touch. We also loved plunging neckline dresses with tight-fitting lace bodice and a fluttery skirt.
