Only a few hours’ drive north of Perth, the 1100 kilometres-long strip of coast between Cervantes and Exmouth boasts immaculate white sandy beaches, quaint seaside towns, an impressive outback desert and one of the world’s largest coral reef. So, what better place to celebrate your nuptials and extend your stay into a long and indulgent beach honeymoon!

The main attraction is the majestic Ningaloo Reef which is 260 kilometres long and close to the shore, so swimming, snorkelling and diving is a must while you are there. The perfect spot for your event? A lavish beach resort with uninterrupted ocean views! South of Kalbarri, the seaside towns of Port Gregory (home of the Pink Lake – Hutt Lagoon) and Horrocks offer a laidback beach vibe with great swimming, fishing, surfing and windsurfing.

With Mediterranean-style climate in the south and sub-tropical climate in the north, Western Australia’s Coral Coast looks beautiful all year-round. It is the land of wildflowers and you can see the most amazing displays during late winter and the early spring months. If you want to combine a beach wedding and honeymoon, then you will want to look for dates in summer or early autumn, or if you don’t mind slightly cooler weather, go between June and August because you will be able to spot the whales as they migrate from the Antarctic to warmer waters. To avoid the wet weather, book your date before or after the period of tropical cyclones which lasts from December to April.

The Coral Coast is the ideal destination for a beach wedding in Western Australia. You can find many gorgeous seaside resorts and boutique properties where ocean views and sunsets are just spectacular and the laid-back ambience is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and alfresco dining. From secluded retreats which are great for intimate celebrations to big luxury resorts which can accommodate larger groups, there are many unique wedding venues to choose from.

The ideal location for a Coral Coast wedding is Exmouth and the surrounding area because this region has a tropical climate and has high temperatures year-round.
