Phuket, Thailand

Renowned for its incredible hospitality, jaw-dropping spa and divine Thai food, Phuket is one of world’s most loved wedding destinations.

Location

Everything about Phuket is simply romantic! It is the biggest island in Thailand and it boasts glorious beaches, unparalleled five and six-star resorts as well as picturesque dining locations with sensational sunset views. Its 50-kilometres long sandy coastline boasts secluded postcard-perfect bays and coves, and you can also find privacy at one of the beautiful off-shore islands.

Phuket enjoys tropical climate with warm weather year round and monsoon rains. The ideal time to tie the knot is from December to March because the chances of rain are minimal, while September and October are the hottest and the wettest. Phuket is an ideal spot for a romantic, laid back beach wedding or elopement, but if you want a glamorous traditional-style reception, you can find breath-taking hotel venues across the island as well.

Where to get married

Phuket’s west coast is most popular for weddings because it has superb golden beaches surrounded by beautiful green hinterland. It is dotted with lavish hotels, resorts and private villas all available for weddings. The east coast has some swanky hotels and resorts as well, but we recommend looking for wedding venues on the west side of the island because here you can find the best restaurants and plenty of locations for water sports, so your guests will be entertained during their stay. Some of the best beach resorts on Phuket’s west coast that specialise in destination weddings include Banyan Tree, Le Meridien, Ayara Kamala, Andara and The Slate.

Your perfect Thai wedding

Thailand is also known as “the land of smiles” as it is home to some of the friendliest people in the world. From the moment you step out of your plane, you will be surrounded by positive energy and happiness, so rest assured you will have a completely stress-free wedding. The key advantages of a Thai wedding include superior service and glorious food. The cuisine is based on fresh, fragrant, colourful and flavoursome menus which combine sweet with sour and spicy, and every dish is special.

Wedding venues in Phuket offer great value for money and superb all-inclusive packages, but in order to have a completely stress-free wedding planning process, we recommend that you hire a professional planner based in Thailand that can help you sort out everything from legal paperwork to flowers and hair styling at your venue in Phuket.
