'Unplugged' Weddings

  1. Hi there. I am planning our wedding for next year. To be honest, I don't really like the idea of guests posting pictures to social media before we do. I have a wonderful 'unplugged' blackboard being made however it doesn't mention social media specifically. I'm wondering how other brides tackled social media? I was thinking of having a note of some sort but unsure how to word it. Or where to include it. Did others use a sign specific to social media? Was it included in invitations? Would love to see some examples! Or would love to hear how brides worded their request to guests. I strongly feel that we spend hours on our guest list inviting our nearest and dearest for a reason. We do not want to share our day with others whom we have not invited to share our special day.
Can anyone help? Would love to see/ hear some ideas. Thank you in advance :)

  2. Hi there,

I am doing the same thing and including it with the invites. I have not finalised the wording yet, but it is something similar to the below

'We are honoured to share our day with you. Please keep this event private by not sharing photos from today on social media until we do. Thank you'

  3. Thank you. I think I'll do something similar. Have been scrolling through Pinterest for ideas. :)
