The perfect wedding ceremony needs the perfect song, and it can be so hard to choose! Do you go for a current hit? ‘Your’ song? A classical piece? It’s a choice that you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.
To help you choose, take into account what song has sentimental value to you both. Maybe a song that you both loved to listen to on that long road trip? Here are a couple of insider tips... Consider that when you have a live performance of your song that there are some limitations of the instrumentation. It helps if its a song that translates just as well, if not better, with a singer/guitarist, or singer/ piano accompaniment, or, you can add a stringed instrument alongside. Bear in mind that during the processional, you will want the song to get to the first chorus just before you arrive at the altar! Good musicians will know how to resolve the song naturally at this point; the old fade out on the iPod isn't quite as charming.
