The wedding dress designer Meghan Markle will wear down the aisle when marrying her royal fiancé Prince Harry in May may have been leaked.
This week's bets saw Alexander McQueen, as 'the' wedding dress designer, become a firm favourite forcing the betting agents to shut it down altogether.
“We previously had Ralph and Russo as the 2/1 [favorite] and there’s also been a lot of talk of Erdem as a big front-runner,” a spokesperson for Betfair, said in a statement to Vanity Fair, “However, we’ve now suspended this market after seeing some interesting betting on Alexander McQueen this morning who went from 16/1 to 8/1 in a very short space of time.” She continued, “Either someone sneaky knows something, or there’s plenty of shrewd punters who are up on their fashion knowledge. A bit like me.”
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge wore Alexander McQueen for her wedding to Prince William in 2011 and also her sister Pippa Middleton wore Alexander McQueen for her wedding, so we wouldn't be surprised if the tradition is continuing with Meghan Markle.
