Suits For Spring Races & Outdoor Weddings From InStitchu

Whether the occasion is a horse race or an outdoor wedding, men’s suits for a spring daytime event should be relaxed but smart, with brighter colours and lighter fabrics.

Spring is finally here and with it comes the sun, colours, the Spring Racing Carnival and, of course the season of engagements, bridal showers and weddings. While ladies are infusing their wardrobe with bright hues, playful florals and fluttery fabrics, gentlemen are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone of dark suits and add a pop of colour to their outfits.

Tim Aquino, the Head Style Consultant at Australian online tailor, InStitchu shares his tips for choosing an outfit for Spring Races Carnival, and we think they are great for grooms, groomsmen and male wedding guests as well!

Firstly, men are advised to opt for brighter shades such as blue, soft charcoal, khaki or beige instead of black, navy or dark grey. It is important that the colour of the suit matches the skin tone! Secondly, the suit should be perfectly fitted, and a bespoke, individually made suit is always the best choice.

Thirdly, the choice of fabric which should depend on the weather, so why not consider a beige linen suit for an outdoor wedding on a hot sunny day! Finally, the confidence should be the most important accessory, because a man who feels comfortable in his skin will look gorgeous in a spring suit as well!
