From Pamella Roland’s gleaming white organza dress to Naeem Khan’s pink and ivory ombre gown, these looks from New York Fashion Week inspired us the most!
Inspired by the summer sky, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman included some fabulous pastel-coloured gowns in their latest collection for Marchesa. We loved the sheer layers, feather detailing and 3D embroideries!
Floral patterns and sorbet colours dominated Naeem Khan’s beautiful ready-to-wear collection influenced by glamorous women such as Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Frida Kahlo. Our favourite look was a pink and ivory ombre gown with embellished bodice.
Dennis Basso looked for inspiration in charming cities south of American borders such as Rio, Acapulco and Caracas. Eveningwear pieces which closed the show feature opulent laces, sheer fabrics and subtle metallic details.
Pamella Roland’s beautiful white gowns could definitely double as wedding dresses and we love how she used gleaming organza to create floating geometric shapes inspired by Frank Stella. Details such as a cape-like train and big organza bow tied across the bodice added a fun twist to simple column silhouettes.
The designer duo behind the Badgley Mischka label used Buenos Aires of the 1950’s as inspiration for their spring/summer 2016 collection. Their evening looks combine classical silhouettes with shimmery metallic jacquards and sensual floral and butterfly prints.
