Wedding Inspiration From Met Gala 2015: Stylish Accessories

Even though the gowns at Met Gala 2015 were really fascinating, extravagant accessories drew even more attention. From floral headpieces to elegant jewellery, we think this red carpet event offered a lot of wedding inspiration for brides-to-be.

Selena Gomez and Chrissy Teigen accessorised their gowns with big blooms pinned into the hair, while Anna Evers wore a geisha-style topknot adorned with a sparkly head piece. One of our favourite hair accessories was also Kate Hudson’s cascading floral fascinator, which she beautifully paired with a metallic Michael Kors gown.

If you want to add ‘something blue’ to your wedding outfit, think Georgia May Jagger’s teal coloured hair accessory, Gong Li’s sapphire and emerald tassel earrings by Piaget or Emily Blunt’s sapphire earrings by Anna Hu. Another fabulous blue accessory we loved was Lily Aldridge’s koi fish clutch by Judith Leiber.

To glam up your wedding day styling with a cutting edge piece of jewellery, consider wearing accessories like Sasha Pivovarova’s ivory pearl earrings or steal Georgia May Jagger’s idea and wear a big bling on each finger to complement your engagement ring. And if you think that a diamonds is a bride’s best friend, find your wedding inspiration in Resse Witherspoon’s Met Gala 2015 styling. She wore a necklace, bracelet and ring from Tiffany & Co. Masterpieces collection with a lovely “Skyscraper” motif.
