Hair and Make-Up Trends from the Oscars 2015

From bright red lips to twisted up-dos, the beauty looks at the Oscars were exciting and versatile, and we think you will find great new ideas for your wedding day hair and make-up.

Bold lips were a huge trend on the red carpet and we have seen a lot of wonderful, juicy shades of red. Margot Robbie wore a bright red matt lipstick with a straight bob parted on the side, whereas Emma Stone opted for a lighter shade to match her side-swept and curled ginger hair. Rosamund Pike and Julianne Moore had dark red lips and elegant up-dos, but we also loved Marion Cotillard’s bright pink shade paired with black eyeliner.

Dramatic eyes teamed with nude lips and original up-dos also turned out to be a powerful trend at the red carpet and Sienna Miller’s look was definitely one of our favourites. She wore long lashes and smoky eyes with natural-coloured lipstick and a chic twisted up-do, while Felicity Jones had a gorgeous fringe and dramatic eyes encircled with deep blue eyeliner.

If you love wearing loose hair, think Keira Knightley’s beach curls accessorised with an embellished hair band and contrasted with natural make-up, or Jessica Chastain’s gorgeous straight hair parted on the side and worn loose.
