The Bride’s Diary @ The Southern Highlands Wedding Fair

The Bride’s Diary Team were delighted to exhibit at the Southern Highlands Wedding Fair on the 10th January, 2015. Manage My Event and Destination Southern Highlands were proud to host this inaugural event.

The wedding fair was held at the famous Bradman Oval, which is situated in Bowral in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales. The attractive oval features a white picket fence and an old fashioned pavilion. Located just next door is the International Cricket Hall of Fame (which incorporates the Bradman Museum). Bradman Oval attracts thousands of tourists each year.

The Southern Highlands Wedding Fair featured pretty white tents placed on the outside perimeter of the entire oval, creating a bridal fair ‘in the round’. With Mount Gibraltar sitting majestically in the background, Camden Woollybutt gum trees standing as sentinels around the oval, and the ubiquitous green of the pitch, the event looked spectacular.

The region’s leading wedding specialists exhibited, with every wedding service represented, including: bridal wear, cakes & sweets, catering, celebrants, entertainment, event hire, finance, florists, gifts & bomboniere, guest accommodation, health & fitness, honeymoons, kids, make-up, hair & beauty, photo booths, photography & video, publications, stationery, stylists, transport, venues, wedding accessories and wedding planners.

Each tent was set-up beautifully and I was amazed at the variety and quality of each display. The Wedding Fair featured bridal wear fashion parades, major prize draws, sponsor announcements, live entertainment, kid’s activities and even a men’s crèche (a discounted tour of the Bradman Centre).
