How to Organise your Gift Registry?

A gift registry makes buying wedding presents much easier, so choose a few shops that you like and make a list of items your guests can purchase.

You can tell your friends and family about your gift registry via a website dedicated to your wedding, or place a small card in with your invitation. This will save your family and friends a lot of time and trouble and you will get practical gifts you can use in your new home.

You should set up your wedding gift registry well ahead to make sure your guests will have plenty of time. Keep track of purchased items and update your list regularly, especially near to the wedding day. The number of registered items should exceed the number of your guests so that they can have plenty of things to choose.

You should include a wide range of items from inexpensive home décor to furniture and machines. Give your guests the opportunity to be generous, but also think of your friends and family members who can’t afford an expensive gift. Register with more than one store to make the selection more diverse and pick shops that stock luxury goods as well as cheaper stores which offer cost-effective solutions.

Finally, don’t forget to thank your guests after the wedding. Prepare thank-you cards and send them out as soon as you get back from your honeymoon. You can even personalise your notes to address each guest individually and express your gratitude.
