Your Send Off in a Chic Vintage Car

From elegant vintage Rolls Royce cars to a Citroen 2CV, old-timers are very popular at modern weddings. They are full of character and provide fantastic photo opportunities, especially if you choose appropriate decorations to match the style and colour of the car.

When choosing your getaway car, make sure to pick a renowned company that guarantees their vehicles are clean and properly serviced. Don’t forget that the car should be big enough for the bride’s gorgeous dress, so avoid tiny cars if she is wearing a huge ball gown.

If you are planning a vintage themed wedding, opt for a model that sums up the mood of the decade your party is inspired by and choose a Buick or Rolls Royce phantom for the twenties, VW beetle for the sixties and Mini Cooper for the seventies. Queen Elizabeth’s beloved Austin Princess is the perfect choice if royal chic inspires your theme, while the Citroen 2CV will take you to the 1940s in France when this charming little car was made.

Think about effective decorations as well. You don’t need too many ornaments to make a statement, so simply spray “just married” and attach a few metal tins for a very old-fashioned look. If you prefer a more elaborate design, use colourful pompoms, balloons, ribbons, bunting or flower wreaths and finish off the look with a chalkboard sign or a licence plate.
