This exclusive range celebrates The Australian Ballet’s 50th anniversary and 10% of the retail price will be donated to support its educational programs. Collette Dinnigan’s collection for Target comprises 12 gorgeous pieces for ages 1-7, including tutu dresses, skirts, tops, boleros and a cute bag. The designer drew inspiration from The Nutcracker and used lovely pastel shades like ballet pink, magenta, sky blue and cream, as well as sparkly embellishments and cute floral appliqués.

I wanted to look through innocent eyes of a young girl’s fantasy of playing dress-ups from her grandma’s vintage trunk. It is the romance of a little girl’s dream to be a ballerina, to dance, to dress up in a tutu and role play. The collection reflects the love of all things ethereal.

All the pieces from the collection are available in sizes three to eight and are priced between $19 and $59. They are available in Target stores nationwide as well as online, and the official launch was followed by an advertising campaign shot in Melbourne by internationally acclaimed fashion photographer Jez Smith and features dancer Madeleine Eastoe.
