Tips For Organising Small & Intimate Weddings

If you can’t afford a big wedding or you prefer to celebrate your special day with closest friends and members of family, organising a small reception is a great idea. Intimate weddings can be even more glamorous and decadent, so here are some tips on how to organise a great bash:

Limit Your Guest List

Firstly, you need to determine how many people you want to invite and then establish the criteria for making the list. You can organise an intimate reception for as little as 10-20 people and include only closest friends and family members, or throw a dinner party for 50-60 people. You can also opt for a destination wedding or elopement which is a great idea if you feel guilty for making an exclusive party for selected guests.

Choose a Beautiful Location

The best thing about having a small wedding reception is that you get to choose any venue you like. It is much easier to find a space for less people. You can organise a picnic in the countryside, take your guests to a lovely intimate vineyard, rent a house with a garden to make a truly decadent party, or simply find a table in a small, cosy restaurant of your choice.

Take Care of Your Guests

Organise a truly memorable day for your guests and treat them with superb food, quality champagne and delicious deserts. Since you don’t need to feed hundreds of people, you will be able to afford a luxurious meal for your nearest and dearest. Make sure to take care of every single detail from place cards and tableware to impeccable service. Also treat your guests with generous gifts and give them goody bags instead of small favours.
