This charming theme is ideal for couples who would like to celebrate their vows in the soft Autumn-morning light, and treat their guests to an indulgent celebratory brunch. Imagine marrying in a pretty garden and dining afterwards in an elegant conservatory, favourite café, or even in your own home. And, this theme can easily be up-sized for a larger wedding held in a reception venue.

Set the scene in hues of pale blue, grey, latte and white. Crisp white tablecloths, white bentwood chairs, and soft blue tableware provide the perfect backdrop on which to place stylish blue vases and a profusion of loose flower arrangements. Then simply invite your guests to indulge in a delightful array of sweet and savoury morsels, made in the French tradition.

The centrepiece of the celebration is a divine multi-layered, brandy-infused, crêpe wedding cake, served lavishly topped with vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, warmed maple syrup and fresh blueberries. Savoury options could include: three-cheese souffles, omelettes, tomato and caramelised onion tart tatin, potato dauphinoise, miniature salmon and potato coulibiacs, and a selection of French cheeses, fruit pastes and biscuits.

Then sweeten the mood with palmiers, crème brûlée, mini éclairs, macarons, pistachio and raspberry pithiviers, raspberry and white chocolate profiteroles, chocolate croissants, friands, meringues, madeleines and mascarpone cheese and fruit tartlets – heaven!

To create just the right ambience treat your guests to music dedicated to the bal-musette, the  accordion-based tradition, that is the very soul of Paris café life. Look for the music of Edith Piaf, the fabulous jazz group Quintette du Hot Club de France, Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grapelli, Emile Vacher and Frehel. Now that you have set the scene, let your celebration wander from dawn, meander through brunch and stroll through the afternoon. Take your time to enjoy all of the chatter, laughter and fun this perfect setting is sure to inspire.

Let the morning light filter through the windows and fall softly over your tables. Your photographer will capture the mood with all its lightness and softness and the images will present a magical quality, with a beauty all of their own.
