Photographer's Favourite Wedding

“Karen and Shane’s wedding was crazy fun! It had everything that makes a wedding perfect: laughter, tears, good food, a little bit of crazy dancing and a creepy bunny mask named Mr Nibbles.

The couple were amazing to photograph, mostly because they were so comfortable in their own skin and they weren’t too worried about looking cool. The best photos come from having fun and just being yourself. They also looked terrific; I’m a huge fan of couples who really embrace their wedding day style!

Karen and Shane felt that they wanted their wedding day to be about their family and friends having a good time, not about them waiting around while the bridal party went and had photos for hours. So instead the couple had a first look and then had all their photos before the ceremony. It was a wonderful way to get enough time for photos and also not to take time away from their guests.

As a photographer, I am not traditional and neither are my images. Stepping away from tradition was the best way for this wonderful couple to get what they wanted out of their wedding day.
