Real Wedding: Leanne & Levi’s Rustic Wedding

Leeanne and Levi hosted their wedding at the beautiful Retreat at Wisemans located on the banks of Hawkesbury River. Their theme was rustic romance and they made most of the props themselves.

How They Met

Leeanne and Levi met in a local pub. They were both wingmen for their friends, but eventually, they ended up dating each other. Who would have thought back then that 11 years later it will be the two of them tying the knot!

Bride’s Attire

The bride wore a beautiful strapless mermaid lace wedding gown by Mia Solano. She purchased it at Luv Bridal Parramatta, and it was the first dress she tried on. The dress was styled with a lace trimmed veil, pearl necklace and bracelet and drop earrings.

Location

The wedding was held at the Retreat at Wisemans which is a stunning 50-acre property at Wisemans Ferry, which is surrounded by four national parks and boasting an enchanted landscaped garden. The couple had an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo and hosted the reception in a silk lined marquee.

The Theme

The wedding theme was rustic romance, and it truly complemented the location. They made it very elaborate with vintage-rustic props and decorations in various shades of yellow, grey and earthy colours. The theme was inspired by the venue itself and breath-taking views that surround it.

Styling

The couple had designed and built many of the props themselves and the team at On Cloud Brinckley helped them style their venue. Details like rustic wooden furniture, light-up letters, old photo frames, chalkboards, old suitcases, vintage buckets and glass jars really defined the theme and added a personal touch to the whole design.

Unique Details

From ceremony props to table settings, there were a lot of unique details. They had a special wooden gate for the ceremony entrance, a hand-made “love” sign in the garden, doughnut tower in addition to their naked wedding cake and succulents planted in glass jars as Bomboniere to signify time, love and growth from a seed.

I thought that I would be nervous, but as the day rolled on, surrounded by my friends and family, being pampered and a light lunch with champagne, the day flowed effortlessly and it helped to know that Kath & Rachael and my husband to be Levi, were there to take care of any last minute emergencies.
