They had been dating for a while when William decided to propose, and it happened on a quiet night at home. There were just the two of them. He decorated the house with candles and gorgeous pink and white roses. When Alice came home after work, she was surprised to find him there, on one knee. He asked her to marry her and she said “yes”. They celebrated with the same champagne and wine that they enjoyed on their first date. “It was a perfect proposal”, said Alice.
The Bride's attire
The bride wore a custom top by Livia Loren, a Rachel Gilbert skirt, shoes by Givenchy and a clutch borrowed from her mother-in-law.
The couple wanted a black tie wedding but they also wanted it to be as relaxed as possible so that they could enjoy the day along with their guests and it is exactly how it was. Their aim was for their guests to have fun, and just enjoy themselves whilst celebrating their special day.
Alice & William hosted their wedding at the beautiful Kingsford Homestead. The ceremony was held on the lawn of the homestead and overlooked the stunning countryside and the reception was in a clear marquee on the Shearing Shed Lawn.
And since the location was so picturesque, they didn’t want too many decorations. The team at Adelaide Flower House created a gorgeous flower arbour for the ceremony, and in the evening they dined under the glistening fairy lights. Wooden tables, off-white blooms and touches of copper complemented the scenery.
"All our photos were taken on the property - with so many possible photo locations we kept to around the Homestead and in the old wool shed - the old stone walls and wooden beams give so much character and these are some of our favourite images of the day." Alice & William
- From the bride
From the start of the wedding planning process, our experience with Kingsford Homestead was so relaxed and enjoyable. The food was just sensational, and the team's organisation and sense of calm were greatly appreciated. It made our day very special!
